Arts Beat Submission

Please use the form below to submit your event to be published under the Arts Beat category on the site.

An important note about press releases:
We do not publish postcard style invitations.

Send in press releases as early as possible so they can be put into the queue. Last minute press releases will likely not get published.

What we do publish are exhibition and event press releases that give information about the artist and their work, or the event and the story or history behind it. Something that will make interesting reading or viewing even after the exhibition or event is long past.

We cover the topics of art exhibitions, musical events, theater performances, small independent events and exhibitions, street fairs, food fairs, wine events … anything of a cultural nature.

We do accept announcements in languages other than English. We want the site to have a multi-lingual following. Of course if you have both the original and the English translation, please submit both!

Please look through the Arts Beat category for samples of what we do publish.

We do not accept .PDF or .DOC files. There is not enough time in a day to cut them up and sort them out. Information must be sent in text format with an attached .jpg image for easy copy and paste.

Note: If your submission doesn’t have an image, it won’t be published. We do not chase down images. All materials need to be submitted together at the same time.

Quote of the Moment

The practice of soulful travel is to discover the overlapping point between history and everyday life, the way to find the essence of every place, every day: in the markets, small chapels, out-of-the-way parks, craft shops. Curiosity about the extraordinary in the ordinary moves the heart of the traveler intent on seeing behind the veil of tourism.
- Phil Cousineau
